we had a busy day today...after we got home we did some town errands..Lyle is doing some mudding for a friend and he painted up some hardware so he can finish his gates at the farm...after I came back from my massage/pedique I made a tour of my yard..everything is 'popping' and 'bursting'...I was so pleased to see my clematis survived the winter(don't have great luck with them) I planted this one called 'danielle' last year to commemorate my granddaughter's entering high school and yes her name is Danielle.....the fruit trees are bursting bud as are my vines on my breeseway trellis...with temps in the high 20's I am not surprised tho'...I was left a little burnt out after my outing so had to sneak a nap late after noon and now am ready for bed....GOOD Day yes! Great even!!!!!!

Tuesday May 18,2010

a day to do a bit of town stuff ...phone calls to make, groceries to pick up and yes this is the day for my dreaded mammogram...but it's over again for another couple of years...we spent the day in the yard...cut grass worked on my flower beds...weather was unreal...and yes I checked on my baby robins and they are not fluff they are birds with their mouths open so wide I am not sure if they won't swallow their heads....momma bird is busy busy...she could probably use some take out....Lyle is planning on building a couple of gates so we are going back to the farm for a day or so....hard to believe last year on this date we had SNOW and today it's 23....everything is just jumping out and popping out.....love it......feeling tired and sore but a GOOD feeling and GOOD day.....see what the morning brings...........

Monday May 17,2010

Lyle's sister from Alberta and brother from Nipawin have been out and spent some time at farm as has Lyle's mom.....both have returned home but Mom is going to be at farm to get some needed R&R...I had a GOOD night with no nausea or other complications...hurting but feeling overall quite GOOD..I have no qualms about having my needle away from home...Lyle strung the wire on his fence ......and after some supper we headed back to town...GOOD weather GOOD day.......

Sunday May 16,2010

we are still at the farm and being my "needle" day I am challenging my needle away from home.....it is a beautiful morning and lovely day...Lyle has been busy putting up a portable car port to house the Ranger, tractor and riding mower....in the middle of the afternoon the sunny sky turned black and wind got busy and after about 1 hour of thunder we had a downpour that lasted all of about 10 minutes.....and me I slept through it all....I am having a GOOD needle day and hopefully a GOOD night....so far so GOOD.....

Saturday May 15,2010

the bird house is up, fence posts are in ready for wire, took out all the bedding from camper and gave it a good airing out...took time to go for a walk (hurting but still good to be able to walk )....went down to the bridge our nephews are working on...the beavers have peeled the logs and decided to chew them besides...busy day and am quite tired but a very GOOD day....arrived back at the farm ...on way out we seen a mother and 2 baby moose.....another day of gorgeous weather......

Friday May 14, 2010

we came back into town for the day..Lyle needed to order a part for the post pounder...the weather was fabulous so I took advantage of day and move some plants in my yard and planted 5 new hosta ....since we have been back and forth to farm I haven't been checking on my silly robin...but imagine my surprise when I went out and found a nest of fuzzy babies with their mouths open....cut grass and got ready to head back to farm in a.m....another hurting day (maybe a little to do with all yard work) but with the warmer weather it does not seem so bad and has been a GOOD day....

Wednesday May 12 and Thursday May 13,2010

armed with all the supplies we needed to do several repairs and to allow us to stay at the farm for a week we left town for the farm at 10:20 a.m. for a twenty minute drive...one hitch Lyle purchased a Ford tractor to use for wood cutting ,fencing etc. ....so he decided to drive this out to the farm ..speed 6mph...great if you're not going to far...we arrived at the farm at 2:45 p.m.....I doubt he'll want to that again anytime soon....but now he has his helper out there.....tiring drive as I followed behind in the truck....kinda took care of most of the day...got organized for Thursday.... beautiful morning Thursday...major project was putting the martin house back up...accomplished this but had a few problems with the post pounder so we are headed back to town tonight...back late but all in all we had to very GOOD days...I seem to sleep well out at farm and with no distractions manage to do quite well..........
