well here we are another wet weekend....what to do? what to do?...I find I hurt more when the weather is cold and damp...but I decided on going outside in the yard ....planted a little planter with petunias and marigolds...spent about 1 hour taking some photos(playing with settings)..kinda new to the photo world of digital camera so decided to challenge dull day and see what came of it...I was quite impressed if I must say so...Lyle decided to busy himself and start the bathroom...painting,new sink counter and cabinet and some new laminate flooring...he chose a mint green for walls trimmed out with white(will post pics when done)...problem is nothing is drying very well....I am so impressed at how everything is growing in spite of no rain...I also spent time visiting online with friends and my MS family...it was a GOOD day in spite of weather and some aches and pain.....:)

May is both Cancer and MS Awareness Month....both of these demon diseases challenge many on a daily basis in varying ways...today our little tow has about doubled its size as people are preparing to "Relay for Life 2010" a research fundraiser and to raise awareness and to celebrate survivors and honor ones we have lost..we remember family and friends today...Cancer has many faces and many colors...take a moment today to remember those who suffer with Cancer and MS and to say a silent prayer of thankfulness if you suffer neither...we remember Dad V. for his courageous battle and Lana for her courageous fight.......

well I guess yesterday was our allotment of sunshine....we had none today..so we need to figure out what to do .....when we were out for a walk we discovered in our garden shed attached to the hanging garden hoses(which we aren't needing) the beginning of a wasp nest...kinda cool bout bees and I don't see eye to eye...we hate each other..I carry an epi-pen....and if you can believe out there after the rain I found a spent dandelion ...does make a cool photo....I have had a busy day and feel quite GOOD but I am sure I could feel even better if the sun were to shine....hint! hint!

today was world MS Day...so to show my support I donned my orange(MS color) wellies got my yardening gloves and orange garden tools out and went and played in my swamp garden...the morning wasn't so great but the p.m. was wonderful....Lyle worked on making me a new flower bed in the back yard..there is always something to do.....it has been a GOOD day...I am so exhausted but nothing a GOOD sleep won't fix.........

well I guess as it was pointed out to that Monday was the 24th not the 23rd...anyway after a night of tossing and turning and leg flailing I woke up feeling realatively GOOD....only to be greeted by a dull gray rainy and slightly windy day....oh well!! spent a portion of my day online with my MS friends...some days I feel I may be one of the luckiest people around...need to be reminded tho'...today on our chat page we saluted the spouses and family members who play such an important role in our lives....extended family is also such an part of the support system...since today wasn't the greatest to be outside I went and did my grocery shopping and a few other errands...we did however have a bit of sunshine which was encouraging...covered up a few tender plants as the forecast is for a very cold night.......yes today was a GOOD day..a bit frustrating on account of the weather but what can you do...the clouds were kinda neat today as they looked 3 dimensional with the light and darkness...with my tender plants safely covered it is time to go to bed......

not a really GOOD night but not as bad as it could have been..symptoms minimal but arms,legs,wrists and hands very uncooperative....as far as weather goes the wind has calmed down and the sun is even shining...actually quite warm this a.m.........after lunch and a nap Lyle and I went out and cut grass and none to soon .......by 4:00p.m. it was pouring rain again...we were out checking our trees after yesterdays winds and the lilac and apple blossoms sure took a beating but that's just how it goes...I think they will be ok.....so from windy and warm to calm and cold.....I feel bad for any who were out trying to camp during this long week end as Mother Nature was somewhat uncooperative to say the least......we'll see what the morrow has to offer.........GOOD day none the less....:)

wow where in the forecast was there suppose to be such horrible gusting winds up to 60 kmph....the birds were having difficulty catching the feeder as was the squirrel...somehow they both managed...it was not a nice day to be out of doors...today I done some baking ..baked oatmeal and lassy mog cookies....had my needle and was off to bed by 8:00p.m....hopefully it will be a GOOD night........and perhaps the wind will calm down a bit.....:)

imagine our surprise after such a glorious Friday to wake up to clouds and rain....so pack up we did and headed back to town...today is one of our grandbabes 6th birthday so had to call and talk to her...spent the balance of the day indoors catching up and puttering...I guess we must need the moisture or we would not be getting it......was GOOD to catch up with my MS friends goings on ....everything smells fresh and clean ...all in all it has been a GOOD...a change in plans but oh well......:)

here we are at the farm and what a great day it is...started out quite nice and after yesterdays wind it is relatively calm...which is good as we are going to do some painting and freshening up around here.....the hunting sign in yesterdays photo is just one of Lyle's many projects...the gate and large fence were rescues from an old church and are nearly 80 years old...today they got afresh coat of paint.....as did both camper steps...Lyle has been busy finishing up the perimeter fence and sprucing up the outhouse......it has been a busy day but everything is looking fresh again....tired today I am but a GOOD tired and hope for a restful sleep....:)

we are busy getting ready to go back out to the farm...weather is just gorgeous..we are cutting grass and doing tidy up in our yard...everything being said I think we can get back to farm...Lyle has a few projects out there he wants to complete before he gets back to work.....spent a bit of time today chatting with my MS friends it's nice to keep in touch with others who really understand what I am experiencing....which has been quite GOOD I have been well except for extreme fatigue and balance...oh well I can still walk and that is GOOD..........:)
