Today was just like the song says,"gray skies are gonna clear up..put on a happy face...." and clear up they did...what started as a dull gloomy day ended up with a quiet peaceful sunset....all day the sun threatened to shine but actually never did until about 4:00 p.m. but what a welcoming sight when it did...everything looks better when it has the sun shining on it..I was out and about and took some pictures of spring ....the pussywillows are out and full on most trees, the daffodils and tulips are peeking out and unfurling , the geese are on the fields and my bird feeder is a hive of activity not to mention the air is alive with the sounds of birds including a robin singing .....hopefully this is just the start to a nice weekend...we did need the rain tho ..it has cleaned and freshened the air and washed away most of the remenants of winter........I feel like the daffodils I want to break out of winter's covers and get going.......It has been a GOOD day offering hope and promise......:)

Wow! today is our 20th annivesary!!!since Lyle is away we will celebrate with our kids in Yorkton on Saturday..I have spent the day on the phone and latop recieving good wishes from family and friends...so blessed to have so many of both...I was down for a hair appointment and for a full massage...the rest of the day I spent R&R....although it was cool and minus the sun...how could this not be a GOOD day??????

I am not sure what to say about today....a mixed bag ....full of cool temperatures,wind,rain and no sunshine with no change in the next few days...a GOOD day to catch up on some chores that have been set on the back burner...a GOOD day to catch up on some baking..refill the cookie containers...done that!....a GOOD day to catch up on some reading and to send out greeting cards along with a bit of letter writing (paper and pen)...done that!...a GOOD day to catch up with some friends via laptop...done that!... GOOD day to savour a bit of extra time for R&R...done that!!!(all set for my pampering day at salon tomorrow)...a GOOD day to reflect on all the GOOD things we have been blessed with...rain (which we desperately need)...it really does smell clean outside...one 'beef' I have....all the people about who are whining about the wind and no sunshine....please people you have your health!!!!!!...all things considered this has been a GOOD day....tomorrow we'll wait and see what it has to offer..............

makes for a rather short day when one sleeps half the day away...today I spent time getting caught up with friends and family..I was so proud of my MS friend Lisa....she completed a 5-mile walk on the weekend...it was a MS fundraiser....she has recently been diagnosed with the disease and is having some issues coming to grip with it and all it's ramifcations...but is doing super and has the spport of her spouse and many friends..she like a lot of us soon adapt and become a fighter and advocate for ourself and others who have MS...I am feeling quite GOOD today and after a bit of tidy-up and laundry that soon changed to being tired again....10:00 p.m. and it's off to bed again...we'll see what the morning brings.....

Friday April 9-Sunday April 11,2010

this has been a wild, windy weekend...Friday was spent chasing flying objects in the yard including our car port...after all was said and done I was exhausted and yet the wind seemed none the worse for the wear and continue to blow on thro the weekend with gusts of up to 100km per hour...Saturday was our grandsons 10th birthday...we changed plans to plan B and scheduled travelling and celebrating till the 17th...weather can only be less extreme...Sunday seemed a GOOD day to settle in get caught up on some much needed rest and that's exactly what happened after brunch, I had my needle and went to sleep and slept until Monday 11:45a.m....amazing how the body dictates just exactly what it needs....all in all it was a GOOD weekend as we survived the winds fury rather unscathed and am fairly well rested and not hurting to bad.......
