Wednesday -Day 124

lakes and ponds are apearring everywhere....

after only a few days the banks are quickly disappearing...almost as quickly as it came so it is going.....

May 2 -Day 122 of 2011

still digging out of backyard...warm and melting

our driveway had over 3 feet of snow in it .....sat at lift station from Firday night until Tuesday and this was as far as we could get down driveway.....
(snow was to wet to blow so had to be shovelled...heavy)

another angle of driveway...in the trees was nearly 4 feet of snow...scared to think what will happen when it melts....

I could not get to feeder without shovelling little path but by afternoon grass was reappearing..was very warm and lot of snow melted....

May 1....Day 121

Sunday we spent digging out.........this is our once raked front yard where the daffodils were blooming.....

the snow was so wet and heavy it clung to everything..making cleanup hard....

the andle of the wind filled our front breezeway with about 3 feet of snow....

the birds were out and about not to sure what had exactly happened thro' the night...



...not to sure were we will put this snow and with near flooding conditions whatever will happen as this starts to thaw.....

What a Week April23-30

the window opening of our breezeway had over a foot of snow on it Saturday a.m. after the storm ...to intensify the storm aftermath the wind blew with gusts up to 80 km ph....

this was the view out our back door into the kennel...Thursday the kennel was dry and raked Saturday this was what we saw...the doghouses were completely buried by snow..strange angle of the wind.....

the trees were so heavy with wet snow...we were fortunate not to have any branches break...

my gson was checking out this display at the museum when we were bumming around in Regina..

daughter and gdaughter touring about....had a great time needed more time...will just have to go again...GOOD time

with the warmer weather and melting happening Lyle and I went out to check the kotima on the 23rd...surprising the water was not as high as we had imagined

-Easter Sunday came and went (our plans for spending Easter with daughter and family in Yorkton went arye when flooding in town reach proportions where the town crew were working day and night to keep town safe...hence Lyle to busy and tired to travel)

-the 26th to 28th I spent the time in Regina with daughter and gchildren..had a Good checkup from my neurologist visited with parents and in general we just bummed around...GOOD fun!!

-learned that on April 28th a new great nephew made his appearance..Lincoln (not sure of all particulars

-Friday the 29th it started raining and by 11:00p.m. rain turned to snow--snow continued to fall all night winds picked up and we experienced our first spring storm...when all was said and done we rec'd 2-4 feet of heavy wet snow...no one could move about in town as well we lost power from midnight until 2:30p.m. Saturday...causing a lot of flooding in basements and crippling life as we know it....
