Wednesday October 27,2010

shovelled driveway out to get to the road....now must wait for town to clear main road (South Ave)...apparently enough snow to cancel garbage pickup....
this is my path to the wood shed so I can bring wood in....need to be warm....

1 of the 2 doors that lead out to the deck...door we use to bring wood in...

door to the kennel...this also was blocked solid.....

path to breezeway and to our front door....all is well tho' I have all doors acessable ......Lyle can use the snowblower to tidy up yard when he returns home or maybe just maybe this snow will melt and go away......

wow! topic of the day was weather...according to weather analysts we were delivered a "weather bomb"...call it what you may we had between 15 -18 cm of snow howling winds with icy roads for GOOD measure..I think that someone or something just ticked Mother Nature off and we all know she is not a happy lady if she is miffed.....imagine my surprise this morning when I awoke and went to put my dogs out and the door would not budge undeterred I challenged 1 of 2 doors leading to our deck and neither of them would open either...thank goodness we have 4 doors exiting our house...I opened the front door with success...by this time my dogs were getting a little anxious.....so after coffee and breakfast I headed outside to find between 81/2 and 9 inches of snow covering the yard...banks and drifts everywhere...since Lyle is away working I found my shovel and got busy and by 3:30p.m. I had my yard in order....so needless to say I am so exhausted tonight and fairly achy....hot bath few drugs hot cup of tea and I am off to bed for what I hope to be a GOOD sleep.....

Tuesday October 26,2010

this is what greeted me this morning when I opened the blind.....oh wow such a change ......but it is to be expected........
thro' my patio door window this is what I seen........

as the day wore on the snow accumulated and the wind intensified.....

last summer I dropped my mortar and pestel and broke my bowl.....today when I was down to pick up a perscription for a friend I spotted this little beauty and needless to say it is mine mine mine............

when it is a baking day you bake bread and with the purchase of these beauties it might just be whats for supper...........with tea and tapioca and raspberries.......life is truly GOOD....

today I am feeling GOOD again..and we have had our first taste of winter for 2010...been busy catching up on e-mails blog and found some time to bake bread.....as the day wears on it is getting stormier and the wind is really picking up....albeit I don't like wind this is kinda a day when it's ok...staying in and baking knitting and relaxing seems the thing to do.....Welcome winter!!!(But could you please just tease us and then leave for awhile and come back some time later?).......

Monday October 25,2010

albeit this is not a new photo this is where I spend many a Sunday and Monday just chilaxing and recovering from my needle..aside from my husband Lyle this is my biggest support system....they are just there with an abundance of unconditional love.......

my needle has not been kind to me...today I have done nothing but rest and relax....by days end I am feeling much better...not so fevered and achy and am able to enjoy supper.....not 100% GOOD but not bad either.....:)

Sunday October 24,2010

not sure what these little berries are but they are evrywhere in the bush and they are actually kinda pretty......
Lyle having coffee at our campsite with Ferggie looking on.......

Bing just laying after lunch relaxing in the sun enjoying the day.....(for an adopted dog he has really adapted well and adjusted to our style of life...am sure glad we found each other..:)

today the weather is a bit cooler but none the less it is a lovely day....since it is needle day I am not going out to the farm...I am just going to chilax....in spite of the fact that it is needle day it is still a GOOD day......

Saturday October 23,2010

on our way home Saturday evening we seen this herd of bush ponies.......
the dogs were having a great day just nosing around chasing this and that they were quite tired when we got home......
the trees have been cut down and will be stacked to season for next year...this is some of our green cut....

this was a real harvest moon tonight...what a great way to end the day....

another view of the moon.......

today was another gorgeous day a bit cooler but still absolutely fabulous...Lyle and I went out to the bush again and spent the day cutting wood....cutting wood is fairly hard work but is so rewarding....especially when it is cold out....the heat is undescribable..comforting and so serene...I have a few aches and pains but I probably would have had them anyway...another GOOD day...warm weather day with hubby and dogs ...does it get any better?.......
