today I spent the better part of the afternoon scanning and editing some old pictures..was quite impressed how they turned out considering that some of those photos are 30 plus years and quality back the was not the best...have started re organizing a clutter of photos....Holly has settled in quite nicely and none of them were to happy to have to get their shots today...but all is well that ends well as we found time for a wee nap....I am feeling so much better these days but every so often a "pre-sleep " sneaks up on me....but I had a GOOD day......:) photos include a newly scanned photo of my daughter,grandma and Dad and the Crew

today has been a very quiet and lazy day (in fact I did not get out of lounge wear till noon) sunny not to hot no rain and little wind...just a real chillin' day until 4:30 p.m. when our daughter and her family arrived to leave their dog (who is our little dog's sister) with us ...they are heading to her significant other's place for his only brothers wedding on Saturday...they are on holidays and all are eagerly anticipating Saturday...we as are our dogs are happy to have Holly with us for awhile....spent the p.m. visiting and had supper...and off they went on to Alameda once again leaving the house very quiet....it is GOOD having them all here and all the excitement but just as GOOD to have peace and quiet....today has been a very GOOD day...I had a long visit via telephone with an acquaintance of my departed Uncles...photos include daughter and family,grandson and Bing and granddaughter and her mother modelling there large leaf ears......:)

today has been a day of catching up on this and that...checking e-mails returning phone calls and such...and of course laundry tidy up and so it goes...I did however manage to sneak in a nap this afternoon...still trying to get back on schedule....Lyle has been working trying to get the yard back in shape..usually by this time in the year grass needs cutting ever couple of weeks not every third day...checked up on some flickar posts and there are sure some people out there with beautiful flowers....didn't take any new photos today so will rely on some taken in the past couple of weeks.....catch up day is tiring but it has been a GOOD day.........:) this year has been wonderful for plants that are not ones we see every year....the two water plants and yes the golden rods are out (fall is in the air) and thistle and we even had this cedar waxwing come a calling....took all these at the kotima the week we were out there.....:)

we have arrived home after a busy week and am trying to get settled back into some sort of routine...weather today was quite strange one minute the weather was sunny and nice and the next we had a full blown storm on our hands with wind and rain and before we knew it we were back to sunny and wet.....all in all it was nice to be away but it is GOOD to be home even if it is needle day.....our dogs have planted themselves on the bed and not moved in hours...think they are glad to be home also.....:)

this has been a busy week plus few days...Lyle and I spent this time with Dad and Mom Karchut at the farma (word we use to refer to unle's farm)..since my uncle's passing there has been quite a bit to do...we helped Dad and Mom with some renos to the house-painting wiring ect. as well as sorting and tidying up...tho busy we have had a lot of time to remember and lots of GOOD memories to share...I was blessed to recieve a few prized items of my uncle's...his sewing machine (singer treadle) a 10# Rogers Corn Syrup pail and a Scottie Dog juice pitcher(from Watkins or Rawleigh's-not sure but remember it in his house as a little girl)....my uncle was never married but should have been...he was so GOOD to us as children and as adults...we trully miss him but life goes on and he was tired and needed a rest....from all the sorting we've done he led a very busy and interesting life....I plan on doing a history of his life this winter....the weather has been quite unsettled..rain..extremely hot and of course very humid...these are the days we will remember when it is 30 below in the winter.....been a busy week but GOOD week.....photos include...Dad and Mom at farma and my prizes.......:)
