July 23-August 2,2010

this has been a busy week plus few days...Lyle and I spent this time with Dad and Mom Karchut at the farma (word we use to refer to unle's farm)..since my uncle's passing there has been quite a bit to do...we helped Dad and Mom with some renos to the house-painting wiring ect. as well as sorting and tidying up...tho busy we have had a lot of time to remember and lots of GOOD memories to share...I was blessed to recieve a few prized items of my uncle's...his sewing machine (singer treadle) a 10# Rogers Corn Syrup pail and a Scottie Dog juice pitcher(from Watkins or Rawleigh's-not sure but remember it in his house as a little girl)....my uncle was never married but should have been...he was so GOOD to us as children and as adults...we trully miss him but life goes on and he was tired and needed a rest....from all the sorting we've done he led a very busy and interesting life....I plan on doing a history of his life this winter....the weather has been quite unsettled..rain..extremely hot and of course very humid...these are the days we will remember when it is 30 below in the winter.....been a busy week but GOOD week.....photos include...Dad and Mom at farma and my prizes.......:)

July 15-22,2010

today July 15 we went out to kotima for a week or so is the plan...Lyle is putting up a 12x44' shed so we can store our ranger tractor and riding mower ....with all the rain we have been getting we thought it best to put all this under cover...so we are all finished building siding and roof is done..need to build doors and put down ridge cap on roof....looks very GOOD will post pictures when it is done...have been feeling much better and my pulse therapy seems to be kicking in ...pleased about that..pneumonia is much improved also...kotima is best place for R&R...Weds. morning had to come into town for some supplies and just outside the gate a little black bear was sitting on the road..startled it as it did me so was unable to get photo...the humidity has been high this past week and as evening approaches the fog starts to roll in kinda cool as it does...tried to get picture of..done some tramping around in wildlife lands..lots of wild raspberries and right now seems to be cranberries and hazelnuts...we';ll wait and see in a few weeks what is what...the moose have been visiting......so far it has been a very GOOD week at the kotima..Mom and I went out to check out some wild raspberry patches but didn't find a lot of berries but lots of raspberry bushes...maybe to wet...the plants were in a lot of water .....the flowers in the yard are lovily tho'......

Friday July 9-Wednesday July 14,2010

I decided that I had better update my blog...have not been posting as I have been sick and not doing much of anything....was feeling a bit off Friday and went to see doctor....was really sick over weekend and cussed out my week of treatments more than once...found out Monday when doctor called that I not only have laryngitis but pneumonia to boot..:((..scurried down and got some antibiotics and today I actually can talk without squeaking and be heard ....still coughing but feel so much better...my treatments left my immune system low and 5 days of out patients in the hospital and doctor says I was a good target for some type of bug or infection...tomorrow I plan on venturing out and do some shopping....my sister-in-law started her radiation treatments today....only 34 to go...feel for her but she is strong and she will be ok...God bless you Lana with strength and courage....haven't taken many pictures but have a few...interesting one of cobweb that was under patio umbrella...some flowers and yes my cherry tomatos are starting to produce....life is GOOD.....:)

today has been a quiet day in more ways than one...I woke up with no voice and nasty cough (residue from treatments I think) see doctor tomorrow morning and did a lot of R&R...took a walk in the yard and the saskatoons are oh so close to ready..1 day if the robins don't get them first...they snitch them red....and the bunny was just in the back yard nibbling (watched him from deck)...my clematis is exploding with color....we still seem to be growing huge fungi...this one is the same size as a dinner plate...a quiet day yes but a very GOOD day.....:))

Wed. July 9,2010

today seems to me like the day after Christmas...all the hype is over...today is so quiet ...a GOOD quiet..the grand babies have all been taken home and hubby is off to Fort Mac to work...the beds have been stripped the laundry done and put away floors tidied and garbage's emptied...I so enjoyed all the fun and hype but I am also really enjoying the quiet for right now...listening to my favorite music ...Yes today has been busy but a really GOOD day....the flowers around my yard are doing very well considering the season.........

Tuesday June29-Tuesday July6,2010

this has been a very busy week...we spent part of the week at the kotima camping with the kids from Regina...lots of visiting eating and staying up way to late...the lilies and fireflies are everywhere...July 1...we had a firework show in evening...July 1 saw Yorkton receive between 5-7 inches of rain..major problems there...all within about 20 minutes..we were back in town that evening...My dad and mom celebrated their 56th anniversary today.....Friday saw the kids from Yorkton to pick up a sump pump(none to be had in Yorkton)...they had some water in their cold storage....the two grand children from Yorkton stayed with me so their folks could do clean up..kids and I were busy painting ect here and on Tuesday we returned them to Yorkton...had a great week but boy oh boy do I need to get back on my schedule..we had a GOOD week .....:))

June 27 and 28,Sunday and Monday 2010

these two days have been quite uneventful...since I just finished my treatments I need some recovery time....this usually comes in the form of sleeping ..which I did...both Sunday and Monday....except for a few bathroom interruptions and few wake up calls to eat...I did not see the light of day either day....GOOD days ...yes I suppose if that's what my body needs to recuperate......:)
