What a busy day for a R&R and hurting day...for starters I went and checked out a couple of yard sales...first of the season..picked up a few items..our bird feeder had 2 guests come a calling...we had a brown thrasher and a western tanager........we did remember seeing the thrasher once before but we have never had the privilege of seeing the male tanager..his bright red head and yellow body have him standing out...was not the least bit shy both birds hung around for better part of 20 minutes....What an unexpected treat!!!..the day was sunny and warm but if a cloud rolled by it was actually quite chilly....we (Lyle and I) did spend a fair bit of time outdoors today...as did the Crew....I am quite tired but it is a GOOD tired and has been a GOOD day....I spent most of the morning chatting with my MS friends.....

Albeit today was quite chilly we did have sunshine most of the day for which we are gracious...today was a busy day and I don't really know what I was so busy doing..I had a nice long talk with my brother..ran some errands and took a friend shopping...Lyle was busy today restoring a 1948 license plate that he wants to give as a birthday gift...he also repainted and spruced up a garden sign for me..since we had all the bunnies in the yard we decided to get the crossing sign up...sure wouldn't want them bush bunnies having accidents...all in all today was a GOOD day and hopefully the beginning of a GOOD weekend...I do believe the sunshine helped improve everyone's disposition somewhat.....:)

well finally we seen a bit of sunshine but only after we had a dusting of snow..it wasn't really warm but warm enough to jump at the suggestion of going out for part of the afternoon...I took my dogs for a run (they were due as we missed a few days because of the yukky weather)..they enjoyed themselves-chased a few gophers...on our outing I spotted the first Buffalo Beans of the season...spent the balance of the afternoon put sing in the yard..altho' chilly I did manage to clean up 2 raised beds and a couple of flower beds...discovered that my spearmint managed to survive the winter...who knows what the weather will be or how I will feel tomorrow....but today was a GOOD day......considering it started out kinda crappy.......

another day of 'blessings' yes you bet we woke up to a yard full of heavy wet snow and as positive about this as I want to be I'm really starting to get quite 'bummed'....everything in proportion..some rain some sun some snow some sun....but somehow we are NOT getting the sun...what's up here?????but enough whining it just won't change a thing...Lyle and I witnessed a whole flock of finches that are back (bright yellow and they sure show up when it's dull outside)...the feeder was full of various birds today-finches,chickadees,nuthatches,sparrows,redpolls and woodpeckers Downy's and hoarys and a yellow-bellied sapsucker...and yes that bird-brained robin is still sitting on her nest (this morning I photoed her and she had snow on her wings and on all the branches around her).....the bush bunnies were out and about playing tag (they are all brown except for the odd patch of white)...seems as tho' everything is just making the best of our weather situation and coping....guess I'll do the same...but darn would I like to see some blessings in the form of sunshine...all in all we had a GOOD day.....

one may have guessed that today would be pleasant since it was quite nice yesterday afternoon....not meant to be..it continues to bless us in the form of rain..no sunshine and cold and windy to boot...in spite of these conditions I did manage to find a robin who has built her nest on a tree stump and laid 3 eggs...no shelter from the elements there she sits on her eggs...bird brain comes to mind but she must think she knows what she's doing.....I was out for routine blood work and boy but are people upset with the weather we've been having...at 9:30p.m. the rain has changed to snow again..impressed...not really...my dogs are quite put out actually...but didn't have to be anywhere,found lots to do and feel well today so albeit it's been a GOOD day.....

well today it was still snowing but by noon it stopped and the sun started shining and by mid afternoon it was quite pleasant out.....the daffodils and trees were stretching and it felt GOOD to be outside....being outside made me tired but since it was a puttering afternoon it was a GOOD tired......amazing how in less than eight hours everything can change like the daffodils in the pictures
