green Wed. March 17,2010
Yes today..GREEN is the color and it is not football season yet. Today is the day the world acknowledge the flamboyancy of the Irish. Tho' not Irish by birth I have come to love and learn their customs and tradition as my father-in- law was of Irish descent--in his honour we always have stew, biscuits and a pint of our favorite beverage....which we did ..(I delivered a hot meal of the above to Mom V. and friend Norma)....apparently everyone was well pleased. Tho' today is steeped in tradition it envokes reflection also. Representative of merriment(in Irish tradition) the color green to me is indicative of resourcefullness, rebirth, energy and strength. I feel all of the above when I see green- and since I have green eyes I think green is a glourious color. The flamboyancy of the Irish is only surpassed by the beauty of the country. Being a 'green' day has brought many images to my mind and has reminded me of the riches I share because I am blessed with family and friends....having a 'GREEN' day is to have a 'GOOD' day.....
