today was a truly nice day....not to hot not to cold so we decided to play 'hooky' and take the dogs to the kotima and spend the day...Lyle's sister and brother-in-law from AB have been visiting for a few days at the kotima...spent a quiet day relaxing and visiting...in the afternoon the Crew and I went for a walk..checked out the pasture..the water edge and sweet grass and went tramping in and around the wildlife lands....the pasture is ready for cattle grass is doing real well thanks to all the moisture...the sweet grass is awesome..lots of it is 4-5' tall ready for picking and braiding..the wildlife bush is bursting with high bush cranberries...they are so nice plump and juicy and so close to ready for picking...they seem to be ripening kinda strange-on a cluster some are close to overripe and on same bunch some are still white...(that's how the saskatoons ripened this year)..maybe just the year....but there are plenty out there....so that means cranberry ketchup this year in about2-3 weeks(hasn't been hardly any berries for past 2 years....this is all GOOD...we seen several groups of birds flocking...fall is sneaking up on us...we also noticed on the way out the combines are lined up and ready to go....my legs and hips are hurting tonight but I think after a bath and massage I'll be ready for a GOOD sleep...I
